# As-it-happens email

As-it-happens emails are plain text and contain a link to open the cast in the Farcaster app (desktop or mobile). Alerts are delayed about 30 minutes due to the Farcaster APIs and cast indexing process, but this is expected to be eliminated in early 2023.
